Origins of the Hanging Gardens
It all happened when King Nebuchadnezzar II’s wife was displeased with the surroundings of the Babylonian empire, considering it was in a desert near present day Al Hill-ah in Iraq. So as a gentlemanly king he quickly ordered his men to build a place of paradise in the barren desert for his homesick wife which name is Amyitis. Many feats had to be overcome to construct the gardens such as the way of irrigation in a desert or the shape of the building. The way of irrigation was the most challenging part of the puzzle.
