History
The gardens were built around 600 B.C though a story explains that Queen Semiramis Built the gardens in 810 B.C. Sometimes it was used as a royal garden but it was mostly for Nebuchadnezzar II wife. Now every wonder has a reason for being a wonder and the reason that the Hanging Gardens of Babylon is a wonder is because of how researched and described this marvel was by the man named Straboand Diodorus Siculus. Though many did the same as him, other men would also described the wonder to their fullest extent. Though, many of the ancient wonders were destroyed or collapsed because of natural disasters. The Hanging Gardens were destroyed in the 2nd century B.C by an earthquake. It tumbled from a height of 80 ft.
